Life and money
HOW BULGARIAN'S POINT OF VIEW INSPIRED ME
During an hiking, I had the privilage to speak about life and money with some bulgarians. Indeed, Bulgaria is one of the most moor country of Uropean Union and I wanted to have the bulgarians' point of view about this situation. A conversation I had with a friend (hello Ralitsa) were an object lesson for me.
The interesting fact is that she travelled a lot, so had a vision of our western country (without speaking of America, I would not risk it (😌hello P. D. Trump 😂).
I want to illustrate it with the film "captain fantastic", although very focused on parenting today, reflects how dependent we are on our life mode (centered on our economic system). ==> 😈 ALWAYS PRODUCE MORE 😈
Basically, the movie opposes two kinds of life: one near nature (you don't need the definite article here because you talk in general) and another one in the modern society. The Cash Family decided to raise their six children near nature. They left everything to establish a camp in the middle of the woods in Washington State although their family (cousins, uncle ...) are like "normal" people living in a city.
Children's lives are a source of permanent enrichment and the father pays particular attention to them: rigorous and regular physical training, self-subsistence through hunting, profusion of culture, use of foreign languages and critical thinking ... Children are surprisingly mature for their age.
On the other side (on the other hand), there is their cousins. They live in a neighborhood pavilion in a district of a big city. Both parents work. The 2 boys go to school (they don't like that, of course) and they spend time in front of screens, playing video games and surfing online.
One day, when the Cash family visits their cousins, the mother of the 2 boys takes offense that the 6 children sleep on the floor, catch birds to eat them, and live in a wood hut in the heart of the forest. At this moment, the Cash father asks the two boys what is the Bill of Rights. They are unable to respond although the youngest Cash child knows it (here is the scene - 3 mins):
This movie is interesting for the story plot that surrounds the lifestyle that we have to follow. It reminds us that we are born in the nature and that we have to respect her. Is it fundamentally important to know all the flowers' names, all the animals' names? Isn't it more relevant to say "ok google, record a new meeting tomorrow at 1.30pm. - GOOGLE VOICE: Sir, you already have three meetings this afternoon, without forgetting an appointment with the hairdresser and drop flowers by the florist for your wife's birthday".
Our modern life impedes us to live. Over more, computers are wonderful, powerful and very speedy, too much speed. They have enabled us to improve our work for the good of our economy. But what about our lives? Computers allow us to earn more, not to be happier.
So, we spend too much time with the computer and don't take time to live.
It is a remark that I also make to myself (this is something I always remind myself), but my future depends on the computer. I am faced with a dilemma. 😥
It's sad to say that, but quarentine period 😷 is a good way to get closer to what is really important and to greatly hamper our infernal economic machine (which pollutes a lot above all).
